What Participants Are Saying

Excellent course with highly engaging instructors. Their teaching from personal experience was captivating and helped reinforce concepts and approaches. The course was appropriately challenging while offering a supportive environment to learn in. Potentially the best run course I’ve been on, having done a few over the past couple years. The course will undoubtedly improve my care of trauma patients in the future out of sight. Thanks and great job!

This is the best course I’ve attended thus far. Highly recommend to everyone in an ED setting. The skill stations and SIMS emphasise the importance of teamwork, communication, and everyone is put through their paces. Great and excellent faculty. As an IMG, I encourage all IMGs to attend this course, especially those in the ED setting. I have already encouraged my colleagues to enrol in the course.

Brilliant course. As a FACEM I’d highly recommend to people who work in an emergency setting. The course manual, and lectures are excellent. The skills stations and team based sims are excellent learning. The faculty – absolutely brilliant. I met new teammates, we supported each other over the weekend, and the working week after this course highlighted the benefits of the positive mindset that this course teaches.

– Jaycen Cruickshank

This course was the best health course I have ever done. I attended as an observer-I work in theatre and only visit e.d. when there is a trauma call. I wanted to gain a holistic understanding on what happens in e.d., how decisions are made regarding management of trauma and improve my understanding of treatment goals. I filled in a lot of long standing knowledge gaps and feel more confident to attend my next trauma call. Also, the pre reading and videos are brilliant, the pre reading is very informative, in easy language and well set out. Thank you!!!!

One of the best courses I think I’ve ever done! There was a really nice range of metro and rural clinicians on the Brisbane course, which made for some interesting discussions and a supportive environment. The facilitators were happy to tailor their advice and approach to each person’s location and resources and were really good at managing participant anxiety in simulation. It’s probably not a course well suited to junior doctors, but for anyone working as a trauma team leader or stepping up to this, I would consider it a “must do.” Kudos to the team for making something great!
