How to become an ETM Instructor

Instructor candidates are nominated by faculty following attendance at an ETM course. Nominated instructors will then be contacted by ETM administration and invited to submit their CV for review. If suitable, the successful nominee will then be invited to join the ETM Course faculty as an Instructor Candidate (IC).

Instructor Candidates are mentored by senior ETM instructors for two courses.

Eligibility criteria

Ideally, ETM Instructor candidates will have:

  • A minimum level of seniority of PGY6
  • Specialist registration
  • Simulation/education experience
  • Experience working in a major/regional trauma centre or as a rural or remote practitioner with regular trauma exposure
  • Attended and successfully completed an ETM course

Interested doctors who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to attend an ETM Course.
