What to Expect
Course Overview
Prerequisite: Successful completion of the ETM Course is required.
The ETM Advanced Trauma Course is a cutting-edge, two-day program that builds on the knowledge and skills gained in the ETM Course.
This course will “take things up a notch” from ETM, challenging participants with complex trauma cases, new patient demographics (Paediatric, Obstetric and Geriatric cases) and advanced trauma management concepts and strategies.
- Duration: 2 full days
- Locations: Courses held in Melbourne and the Gold Coast
- sEligibility: Completion of the ETM Course is required before attending the ETM Advanced Course. The course is designed for Senior Emergency Registrars and Consultants in Australia and New Zealand, but is also open to Rural GPs, and trainees in Anaesthetics, ICU, Surgery, and Trauma. Participants must be PGY2 or above with at least six months of Emergency Department experience.

How do I register and pay for a course?
To register and pay for an ETM Advanced Course, users must book through the registration page through the website. Online payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal is required to register and secure your place on an ETM course. In special circumstances, payment can be received by Bank Direct Deposit. To discuss these options, contact ETM on 03 8672 5945 or via email at admin@etmcourse.com.
How much is the price to attend The ETM Advanced course?
The cost to attend the ETM Advanced course is $2399 including GST

What are the Advanced course start and finish times?
What happens if I cancel my place on a course?
- Cancellations occurring: Greater than 28 days from course start date: full refund minus $400 cancellation fee
- Cancellations occurring: Within 28 days are not available and no refund will be provided
- Non-attendance at or failure to attend a course will be treated as a cancellation within 28 days of course commencement and no refund will be given. (Failure to attend a course due to extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis.)
Can I transfer from one course to another?
- Requests for transfer to a new course date must be received in writing via email to admin@etmcourse.com no later than 28 days prior to the original course. commencement date and will incur a $400 administration fee.
- Requests to cancel or transfer for a second or subsequent time (regardless of when the cancellation/transfer request occurs) will receive no refund. In this circumstance payment of the full course fee again will be required to secure a place on the course.
- Requests for transfer received within 28 days of the course commencement date will be treated as a cancellation and no refund will be provided.

- Trauma Registrars (adult and paediatric)
- Registrants must be PGY 2 or above with AT LEAST 6 months Emergency Department experience.
Do I need to repeat the course to maintain currency?
