Covid-19 Policies

COVID-19 Policy and screening

It is a requirement that all course participants have had 3 x doses of COVID Vaccination as per the Australian Government vaccine dose schedule recommendations for healthcare workers.

Before attending a course, we ask that participants review the screening questions below. If you answer yes to any of the following statements, please do not attend the course.

  • You have tested positive for COVID-19 within seven days of the course start date, regardless of symptoms.
  • You have had close contact with or cared for someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past seven days (excluding occupational contact with appropriate PPE).

Please note: If you have any obvious symptoms or signs of an upper respiratory tract infection during the course, you may be asked to provide a RAT test result. If this returns a positive result, you must leave the course and will be provided with options to complete the course at no additional cost at a later date.

If you have any obvious symptoms or signs of an upper respiratory tract infection and return a negative RAT result but still wish to depart the course (i.e. to minimise infectious exposure of other attendees), you will be provided with options to complete the course at no additional cost at a later date.

Facemasks

The wearing of facemasks on courses will be aligned with local policy for healthcare workers. If facemasks are still compulsory in clinical spaces in the course location, attendees and faculty will be required to wear a mask on the course. N95s and surgical facemasks will be provided by ETM.

  • All attendees will be required to actively engage in hand hygiene and strict respiratory etiquette throughout the course
  • PPE such as masks and gloves will be available for use during courses
