ETM Courses impacted by COVID-19

Due to the growing uncertainty caused by COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have made the difficult decision to postpone the following upcoming ETM Courses:

  1. Sydney April 3rd-5th
  2. Cairns April 22nd-24th
  3. Auckland May 1st-3rd
  4. Melbourne May 15th-17th

The situation is fluid and we cannot exclude further course postponements; however, we hope that current restrictions will ease in the 2nd half of this year.

For the Broome June 12th-14th course and all courses from July onwards, we ask that people please defer booking flights and accommodation until 4 weeks prior the course. Please be assured that we are monitoring the situation closely and we will confirm with all participants no later than 4 weeks prior to confirm if courses are proceeding as scheduled.

All registered participants affected by course postponements have now been contacted via email to outline options available. Whilst we’ re encouraging participants to transfer to another ETM course later in the year, participants also have the option to request a full refund. If you haven’t done so already, please contact to advise us of your decision.

Before making your decision, please consider the following from ETM Course Director, Andy Buck:

“ETM is synonymous with excellent trauma education in a non-threatening environment, with great people and experienced, personable instructors. Like all medical short course providers, we are dependent on medical professionals, making us vulnerable in the current climate.

Our staff and faculty are working overtime to manage the demands this has hit us with. Without your support now, we will be unable to continue to operate. I respectfully ask that you consider transferring your registration to a future course date, rather than cancelling your registration outright as this will allow ETM to continue delivering high-level trauma education to our community in the future. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at an ETM course soon. Stay well”

If you have any queries over the coming weeks, don’t hesitate to contact us at We’ll endeavour to respond to all calls and emails as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience if there is a delay in responding.

We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
